Mark Zuckerberg donates $ 500 million to charity

Director and founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has announced today that it has donated nearly $ 500 million worth of shares to a charitable organization in Silicon Valley, in order to finance health and education issues.
Zuckerberg donated 18 million shares valued at Facebook, or about $ 498.8 million. Recipient of this donation is Silicon Valley Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works with donors to distribute their gifts.

This is the largest donation Mark Zuckerberg to date. He had donated $ 100 million to Newark's public schools in 2010, before his company registered in the stock exchange.
